ইসলামী ব্যাংক বাংলাদেশ লিমিটেড একটি যৌথ ভেনচার পাবলিক লিমিটেড সংস্থা, যেখানে বেসরকারী খাতের ব্যাংকগুলির মধ্যে বৃহত্তম শাখা নেটওয়ার্ক (মোট ৩৪৩৪ টি শাখা) রয়েছে 63৩.০৯% বৈদেশিক শেয়ারহীন ইসলামী শরিয়াহ ভিত্তিক বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংকিং ব্যবসায় নিযুক্ত। এটি ১৯৮৩ সালের ১৩ ই মার্চ দক্ষিণ পূর্ব এশিয়ার প্রথম ইসলামী ব্যাংক হিসাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। এটি ঢাকা স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জ লিমিটেড এবং চট্টগ্রাম স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জ লিমিটেডের সাথে তালিকাভুক্ত হয়েছে ব্যাংকের অনুমোদিত মূলধন  ২০,০০০ মিলিয়ন এবং পেইড-আপ ক্যাপিটাল ১৬,০৯৯.৯১ মিলিয়ন এবং৩৩,৬৮৬ শেয়ারহোল্ডার ৩১ ডিসেম্বর ২০১৮ পর্যন্ত।
